Brittany Whinery
Real. Relatable. Reliable.
“Don’t be afraid to be authentically you,” says Brittany Whinery with a warm smile. “Show up as your authentic self and lean into that. It’s so much more fun doing real estate that way.”
For Brittany, authenticity isn’t just a nice-sounding word—it’s the heartbeat of her thriving career. As a powerhouse with The Wolek Group at Keller Williams Realty Advantage, Brittany has racked up an impressive $150.6 million in career sales volume, including $27.4 million just last year. But her road to real estate stardom wasn’t exactly what she envisioned as a young girl growing up in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Brittany’s first professional chapter began in a private preschool—a world she entered at just 15 years old. Over the course of a decade, she worked her way up to management, overseeing teachers, interviewing parents, and giving school tours. “I learned so much there,” she reflects. But when her original dream of becoming an elementary school teacher ran into local school layoffs, Brittany pivoted. That pivot led her straight into the world of real estate at just 25—and she never looked back.
Passion for People, Not Just Properties
“I’ve always had a passion for people,” Brittany shares. “I love hearing their stories and getting to know them on a deeper level.” It was a neighbor — a seasoned Realtor with 30 years of experience — who first spotted Brittany’s natural gift for connection and suggested she get into real estate. Though the early years were no walk in the park, Brittany’s determination paid off. Within five years, real estate had transformed her life — and her family’s.
What lights Brittany up today? Consultations. “They’re my jam!” she exclaims. Sitting down at the table with clients, diving into their backstories, and helping them explore their options gives her a sense of purpose. “Real estate comes with hiccups, but building warm, trusting relationships helps smooth the path. I love being that steady, trusted partner for my clients.”
Family, Firefighting, and Finding Balance
Brittany’s world revolves around her family: husband Michael, a paramedic and training officer with the Broken Arrow Fire Department; daughter Zoey, almost 13; and son Stetson, 10. Being a “fire family” is a big part of their lives, and home is truly their haven. “As a real estate agent, I’d be a phony if I didn’t love where I live,” Brittany laughs. Their home and backyard are designed for gathering, and they love entertaining friends and family as often as they can.
But balancing it all—especially in the early days—wasn’t easy. “I was a young fire wife with two little kids, trying to build a business,” she recalls. There were moments she wanted to quit, but the support of her office and team kept her going. Along the way, Brittany also discovered a powerful mindset shift: happiness is a choice. “When you focus on finding the good in every day, you start showing up as your best self — and you get to share that joy with others.”
To relax and recharge, Brittany loves cross-stitching. “I also love needlepointing and recently got into that,” she smiles. She’s also an avid reader of fiction books. “It’s my way to disconnect, get into a new world, and escape for a little bit,” she points out. “It’s also a little healthier than bingeing on Netflix.”
A One-of-a-Kind Heart
Something most people don’t know about Brittany? She’s an only child. While she once wished for siblings, she now sees that as her “superpower.” “It’s made me cherish relationships deeply,” she says. “When I make a friend, they become part of my inner circle — like family.” That ability to form meaningful connections has been a cornerstone of her success.
Brittany lives by her favorite quote: “Find the good in every day.” It’s a philosophy she carries into her personal life, her team culture, and every client relationship. Even on the toughest days, Brittany believes there’s always something to be grateful for — and that outlook has shaped both her life and career.
With her infectious positivity, deep love for people, and fierce dedication, Brittany Whinery has built more than just a real estate career — she’s built a legacy of connection, authenticity, and joy. And for this Owasso native, the best chapters are yet to be written.
